Women's Business Enterprise (WBE)

Kato Roofing, Inc. is certified as a women's business enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation's largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S. WBENC, founded in 1997, is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations.

Kato Roofing recognizes the commitment to supplier diversity that is embraced by corporations and government agencies today and we can add diversity to your supply chain. We are currently the only certified roofing contractor in the five state region of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

DBE

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

Kato Roofing has been certified to participate as a DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise). MnDOT's DBE program provides socially and economically disadvantaged businesses with equal opportunities to obtain contracts and project work at the federal level. Any MnDOT project receiving federal funds should have established DBE goals. This provides an opportunity for Kato Roofing to help federally funded MnDOT projects meet their diversification goals.

Midwest Roofing Contractors Association

The Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) is an association of roofing contractors that have joined together to develop and administer programs and services that help member companies build their business. In addition, it allows companies to save money while continually working to improve the roofing industry.

National Roofing Contractors Association

The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) is one of the construction industry's most respected trade associations. It is the voice of roofing professionals and the leading authority in the roofing industry for information, education, technology and advocacy.

Associated Builders and Contractors

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national association representing nearly 22,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms in 71 chapters across the United States. ABC's membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.

Association of Women Contractors

The Association of Women Contractors (AWC) provides unique support to women business owners in the construction industry. The organization was founded in 1995 by a group of pioneering women who were determined to help other women succeed in a male-dominated industry.

National Federation of Independent Business

NFIB's mission is to promote and protect your right to own, operate and grow your business. A nonpartisan, nonprofit association, NFIB has 350,000 small and independent business owners across the nation. 60% of NFIB members have five or fewer employees and 55% of NFIB members report gross sales of $350,000 or less.

Mankato Area Builders Exchange

For 125 years, the Minnesota Builders Exchange (MBEX) has been a progressive, member oriented, nonprofit association dedicated to assisting the construction industry throughout the upper-midwest region. We specialize in construction document project news and providing bidding documents and project leads from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin.
